Kirsty is a cinematographer and camera assistant in the Australian film industry, and works as a freelancer on a wide range of short films, feature films and corporate productions. She completed Honours in a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Screen Production at Flinders University in 2008 and enjoys the challenge of running her own creative business.

Kirsty has won numerous awards for her cinematography on short films and corporate productions and has worked as a camera assistant on several prominent Australian feature films, including “Oranges and Sunshine”, “Snowtown” and “Beautiful Kate.”

Although based in Adelaide for most of her life, Kirsty has spent extended periods of time living and travelling overseas, including twice as a high school exchange student, in Okayama, Japan and Colorado, USA. She recently returned from a ten-week trip to India.

Kirsty lives with three friends in Parkside, close to the city centre. Her parents, Jon and Jenny, are primary school teachers, and her younger sister Carly has a psychology degree and works with youths in emergency care.

When she is not travelling or working on films, Kirsty enjoys reading, photography, playing and watching sports and spending time with friends.

Kirsty is looking forward to visiting a range of film related companies in Sweden and exploring opportunities to live and work overseas in the future.
